'Lost Sanity' by Surya Teja - the Winner of the Week of April 12, 2020

Blender has become a blessing for 3D artists who might have given up 3D arts, had it not been for Blender. Check out the story of one of them.

How, then, can you too qualify for this award? Please have in mind that this award is reserved for those that are on par with or that excel top-notch works published by artists and studios. If such work does not appear during a given week, this award is not being given to anyone. So please submit your best work to www.blenderartist.org or to the Member's Gallery of this site, or Contact Us to show where your work is available on the internet. It doesn't have to be a Blender render, internal or Cycles. Any other render engine is fine as long as Blender was used as a part of your workflow

Artist's Comment
About Me: 
I am Surya Teja, a 3D artist from Hyderabad, India. When I first played video games, I fell in love with environments. Then I picked up 3D as a hobby and now it has become my favorite thing to do. Apart from environments, I like abstract art and 2D concept art as well. Honestly speaking, if it was not for blender, I would’ve given up on 3D long ago. So thankful to Blender and its community.
 
About "Lost Sanity:"
This artwork was a brainchild of my emotions. I was very troubled by the things that were happening in the society and also COVID had taken so many lives, everything was chaos. I felt trapped and people were slowly losing their sanity in the due course of time. So, this inspired me to make this art which shows Buddha who is known for his calm and serene nature, abandoned/lost somewhere in the unknown waiting to see the light of the day again.
