Artist's Comment
About Me:
I was born in Poland. I graduated Civil engineering at Bialystok Technical University but I've never wanted to be an engineer. 5 years ago I moved to The Netherlands where I started to learn Blender and how to make architectural visualizations. A few months ago I decided to start my own company - AZR Studio, focused on archviz. I'm using Blender to model scenes for Cycles/Corona/Unreal Engine 4.
About "House in the Woods:"
My portfolio is still in progress. Many renders that I have on my website were rendered months ago. The project above was created especially for my portfolio. Also I wanted to check how participle settings work with Corona Standalone. Used textures came from Poliigon.com. I baked dirt on building texture using Cycles. Trees used in the scene came from www.evermotion.com. It was created for Cycles - but if you have textures it is possible to recreate materials into Corona nodes. Grass object is a free 3d model which I found on the Internet. I was focused on designing environment so I didn't have to spend a few days designing the building. Like everyone I found inspiration on the web. (Photos: http://www.tres-studio-blog.com/2013/01/casaestudio-en-formentera-la-casa-que.html.) I'm using Blender modifiers to change geometry a lot - for example ground plane has got displacement modifier with nice looking ground displacement map from Poliigon.com
