Good Arch Viz studios or artists are not common in the market as evident in their published works. Where can you find competent Arch Viz artists? How good is Blender as an arch viz tool? You might find the answers in the arts and comments made by the following artists, some of the many that are scheduled to be featured in this series.

Artist's Comment
About Us:
We are an architectural visualization studio located in Fountain Valley, California. We have been using Blender in our modeling workflow since we started in 2008. We started to use Cycles in our rendering workflow recently when we've found the Cycles has raised to our clients' standards.

About "Photo Montage:"
One of our clients has sent us a photo to add the new design for the building that they are doing a remodeling for. With the aid of AutoCAD files we have modeled the building in Blender, rendered it in Cycles and added it to the photo in Photoshop. The hardest part was to match the lighting of the rendering to the lighting of the picture sent by the client, but Cycles' real-time rendering capability has made our life much much easier. Camera-matching was also a pain in the neck but we used the option of having the the photo as a background in the camera view to make our job easier. As a result, our client was very happy with the finished project and it took less time than building the whole scene in 3D.
It was challenging but it was really fun. I actually encourage more of our clients who uses other software to switch to Blender. The only thing that is missing in Blender to be the number one software for architectural visualization is an easy way to import from AutoCAD or Revit.
