"Cycles for [3DS] Max" (https://www.blendernation.com/2018/04/02/cycles-for-max/) made one of the hottest Blender news last week. Why the interest? Check out how the winner for this week turned a model created in 3DS Max into a rendering and lighting masterpiece in Blender Cycles.

How, then, can you too qualify for this award? Please have in mind that this award is reserved for those that are on par with or that excel top-notch works published by artists and studios. If such work does not appear during a given week, this award is not being given to anyone. So please submit your best work to www.blenderartist.org or to the Member's Gallery of this site, or Contact Us to show where your work is available on the internet. It doesn't have to be a Blender render, internal or Cycles. Any other render engine is fine as long as Blender was used as a part of your workflow.

So, it is with great pleasure that www.BlenderNews.org introduces to you the winner of the Render of the Week Award for the week of  April 9, 2018: Paweł Pęcherzewski.

About "Ficus Lyrata [Lighting & Material Study]:"
It was a very simple project that I could call a byproduct of adaptation the model for Cycles. I just found it on the internet and since textures were attached I just connected them to the right nodes and tweaked until it looked right. But since I also wanted to have a little preview of how the materials turned out, so I made a simple product-lighting setup. The only post-processing is some glare, little lens distortion and film grain added in PS.
