It's interesting to see some phenomenal Blender renders among a nebula of poorly made renders." One cannot help but wonder who are these people behind such works. Render of the Week Award has been giving and will continue give exclusive opportunities to meet such artist in person, so to speak.

How, then, can you too qualify for this award? Please have in mind that this award is reserved for those that are on par with or that excel top notch works published by artists and studios. If such work does not appear during a given week, this award is not being given to anyone. So please submit your best  work to www.blenderartist.org or to the Member's Gallery of this site, or Contact Us to show where your work is available on the internet. It doesn't have to be a Blender render, internal or Cycles. A Vray render or any other render is fine as long as Blender was used as a part of your workflow.

So, it is with great pleasure that www.BlenderNews.org introduces to you  the winner of the Render of the Week Award for the week of February 11, 2013: Paul Andruchiewicz.

Title: "Venice"
Genre: Environment Design

Artist's Comment
About Me:
My name is Paul Andruchiewicz and I was born 1988 in Malchin (Germany). Now I'm living in Wismar and studying Mechanical Engineering. My first contact with 3D Modeling was in 2006. I made some maps with the Valve Hammer Editor which was a simple and functional modeling tool and a map-editor. I acquired a taste for creating things and I searched for better modeling tools. After 30 days of testing 3DS Max, I've switched to Blender. In 2009/10 I had the honor to work on the ZOTAC Trailer at a company in Berlin (search on Youtube for "ZOTAC TRAILER 2010"). I've met the artist and coder Kai Kostack and learned many things about making movies. After this project was finished I started my own movie project called "Frog in sight". I'm not alone with this. There are also Ivica Nazlija Ajdukovic, Frank Bürger, Sergei Chekolian and eB on my side. Everybody is a motivated artist and I like to work with them. We hope to get this movie finished in June 2012.

About "Venice:"
I've finished my small project Venice. I started this two years before but didn't work on it for a long time. Rendered in cycles on 550Ti in 50 min. Corrections made in gimp
