There are plenty of subjects that talented artists can explore. Amid an avalanche of excellent works released, it is understandably difficult to have your works noticed.  Some insanely creative artists have made it, while other have succeeded with that aim by resorting to controversial subjects. www.BlenderNews.org, however, hopes to accommodate artists world over with different values and cultural backgrounds by keeping its posts free from divisive subjects whether it's cultural, politically, or religious.

How, then, can you too qualify for this award? Please have in mind that this award is reserved for those that are on par with or that excel top notch works published by artists and studios. If such work does not appear during a given week, this award is not being given to anyone. So please submit your best work to www.blenderartist.org or to the Member's Gallery of this site, or Contact Us to show where your work is available on the internet. It doesn't have to be a Blender render, internal or Cycles. Any other render engine is fine as long as Blender was used as a part of your workflow.

So, it is with great pleasure that www.BlenderNews.org introduces to you  the winner of the Render of the Week Award for the week of  April 21, 2014: Kamil "mookie" Kuklo

Artist's Comment
About Me:
My name is Kamil "mookie" Kuklo and I've been having fun with 3D graphic since 2006. Blender was my first choice and although I had to learn other software I still use it for almost all of my duties. A few years ago I began working in a big 3D company as a modeler and animator. My spare time is for my family, however I tend to spend my late late evenings freelancing and doodling my own projects.

About "Sanctuary Rising"
This was my first Cycles project that I made for a competition "Future Detective". My scene is based on an idea that the level of sea rised so much that the world is controlled by fish. And my fish is a private eye that sits in his fish office trying to solve another fish case. Everything was modeled in Blender while textures were made using Photoshop.
