Last week also has seen some amazing renders made in Blender. www.BlenderNews.org has been busy contacting each of the potentials candidates for nimination. We have a few nominees waiting for announcent, so please don't be suprised if a likely candidate are not awarded immediately on the week of its release.
How, then, can you qualify for this award? Please remember that this award is reserved for those that are on par with or that excel top notch works published by artists and studios. If such work does not appear during a given week, this award is not being given to anyone. Please submit your latest work to www.blenderartist.org or to the Member's Gallery of this site, or Contact Us to show where your work is available on the internet. It doesn't have to be a Blender render, internal or Cycles. A Vray render or any other render is fine as long as Blender was used as a part of your workflow.

I'm Reynante Martinez, also known as 'reynante' and 'reyn' in some forums. I'm a self-taught CG Artist, Lighting Artist, 3D Generalist, and a photographer. Currently, I'm working as an Architectural Visualizer, Freelance 3D artist, and a part-time 3D instructor at Ateneo de Manila University.

About 'Lost in Stereo':
This piece actually came out from nowhere, after doing a couple of modeling exercises (thanks to Andrew Price [http://www.blenderguru.com] for the challenge) of a couch, I decided to take it further and add a story to the plain furniture. And with most of the artworks I create, story conception is the core and the fuel that has kept me going on until the final stages of production - and it came from this idea I had for awhile: the disconnection I feel from my environment the moment I wear my headphones and turn the music on, transporting me into a vast array of imaginative and unearthly experience, most of which, as spectators of the 'outside' environment, this is nothing but a simple emotional feedback.
And finally, but not directly connected to the lyrics, the song 'Lost in Stereo' by All Time Low has been a huge influence in keeping the mood alive.
Majority of the time spent creating this piece was utilized on planning and research, further giving me a concrete idea of achieving what I had imagined. In addition to this, it was a struggle to keep things and the processes as simple as possible, but not any more than simpler that it deviates from the concept.
