Among industry professionals, Concept artists seem to be among those who finds Blender most attractive in bring their expertise to a new level.
How, then, can you too qualify for this award? Please have in mind that this award is reserved for those that are on par with or that excel top-notch works published by artists and studios. If such work does not appear during a given week, this award is not being given to anyone. So please submit your best work to www.blenderartist.org or to the Member's Gallery of this site, or Contact Us to show where your work is available on the internet. It doesn't have to be a Blender render, internal or Cycles. Any other render engine is fine as long as Blender was used as a part of your workflow.

About Me:
I’m a freelance illustrator and concept artist living in Seattle. I’ve been working in both disciplines on and off for around six or seven years now but I’ve been using 3d software since I got my first PC in 1999. I recently started incorporating Blender when Eevee was introduced in 2.8 and I’m absolutely hooked.
About "Alien Homage:"
It is a tribute to the Alien movies and the lighting styles from the first two movies. I created the geometry in 3D Coat as I’m still new to Blender so I’m not strong at modelling yet.
But I made the lighting, shaders and smoke effects in Blender. The speed of Eevee made setting up the lighting and mood really intuitive.
