Good Arch Viz studios or artists are not common in the market as evident in their published works. Where can you find competent Arch Viz artists? How good is Blender as an arch viz tool? You might find the answers in the arts and comments made by the following artists, some of the many that are scheduled to be featured in this series.

About Me:
My name is Uttam Kumar. I'm a 3D Generalist from Mumbai, India. After finishing my Bachelors of Architecture in year 2000, I pursued a career in digital arts. I've been teaching in different design streams including Architecture, Interior Design, Product design and Multimedia Design. I made a switch to Blender less than 2 years ago after having used 3D Max most of my career... The interior Viz scene I’m presenting here was created in my spare time.
About "The White Room:"
It was rendered using Cycles. All models have been created from scratch. The inspiration came from http://tinyurl.com/7764cga.
The entire scene took around 15 days, rendering taking 2 hours with 2000 samples.

About Me:
I'm from the UK, but reside in Ireland. Over the years I've had several design jobs, from Graphic Artist, Web Designer, Flash animator/interactive but throughout I've used 3D to some degree here and there for different jobs.
In the last few years I've been concentrating on 3D fully using Blender – I'm a bit of a generalist, but I do enjoy Arch viz a great deal.
I post up a lot of my work to Blendswap.com to help others with modelling and rendering – Lately I've tried to include PDF files that include explanations of how a scene or model was created. You can find my work on Blendswap.com at: http://www.blendswap.com/blends/author/jay-artist/
I can be contacted through blenderartists forum, or alternatively with my email:

About "The White Room:"
I've posted this on Blend Swap at:
It's a test of Cycles Blender 2.62 Path Tracing of an interior Archviz scene, if the settings or anything that you are interested in, please feel free to check it out. There is a lengthy PDF included which explains most of the things in the blend.
