About Me:
My name is Steven Martin and I’m a passionate 20-year old VFX student. I’ve taught myself Blender and other 3D software over the past number of years, taking CGI from a hobby to a potential career path.
About "Hard-Surface Study of the MINOLTA SRT-101 Camera:"
The ‘Hard-Surface Study of the MINOLTA SRT-101 Camera’ was produced to hone in my skills in photo-realistic rendering, using various photo reference and measurements taken of my dad’s old camera to produce as convincing a result as possible. Both Substance Designer and Painter were used to create the various materials and textures, with additional shader work in Blender. The excellent addons HardOps and K-Cycles X were used to block out and render the model respectively. I’m happy with the results and positive feedback the project has received and am excited to create similar projects in the future”.
