It doesn't have to be a Blender render, Eevee or Cycles. Any other render engine is fine as long as Blender was used as a part of your workflow

Artist's Comments
About Me: 
Hi my name is Tom Pleysier. I’m a completely self-taught digital artist that mainly works in 3D.
I’ve only used Blender for a year now, crazy I know. But I had experience in the past using 3D software and have adapted that knowledge into Blender.

About "Painters' Beach:"
The idea of it being what It is now actually was a complete accident. I was playing around with a train track asset I made and wanted to make an artwork of a train going though a forest, but it ended up not working out. It kinda looked like a beach, so I ended up going with it.

I made the scene but It felt like something was missing so I drafted up some ideas. Like people getting off a small dock to go fishing, two guys fishing off the coast. But none really stood out to me as being inspiring. So I looked at some paintings online to see if I can grab a concept and then the idea came to me, why not a painting set up as if a painter was just there doing a painting of a boat out at sea, so I ran with that idea.

I feel like the best part of the wide angle version is that it can be 2 things, 1 a nice view looking out at sea, and 2 a interesting story of a painter sitting out in the middle of a beach painting a boat… And it actually surprises people once they see the canvas, they go “Oh wow, a little painting of a boat, where’s the artist”. My answer: “He went to go grab a snack, he will be back soon”

I use the quote “Great art picks up where nature ends.” by Marc Chagall. Not to say its a great piece of artwork, that is up to you if it is or not… But it felt right as the nature we live in ends at a beach, or a coast. Sounded right to me.
