Why do artists with traditional art training excel at using Blender? After all, Blender is a tool--not a magic wand! Obviously training yourself with traditional arts pays off as you can note from this week's winner.

Artist's Comment
About Me:
My name is Ismael Fuentes, I am a 2D and 3D artist graduated in Fine Arts by the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Art and new technologies are my great passions, two worlds that I like to merge. I always try to explore new ways to get me out of my comfort zone and find new ways of expression. Generally my work revolves around my life experience and the world around me, that is the germ of all my work.
About "Desiderio:"
It is a portrait of my grandfather Desiderio made in Dyntopo and rendered in Cycles. This type of sculptures later I modify them I use as reference to realize my paintings to the oil. I am currently trying to convince 3d and painting to create a work with a more personal aesthetic.
