Blender is a great visualization tool--not only of products and buildings but also--for concept arts for characters. Read what the winner for this week has to say about how he uses Blender.

How, then, can you too qualify for this award? Please have in mind that this award is reserved for those that are on par with or that excel top notch works published by artists and studios. If such work does not appear during a given week, this award is not being given to anyone. So please submit your best  work to www.blenderartist.org or to the Member's Gallery of this site, or Contact Us to show where your work is available on the internet. It doesn't have to be a Blender render, internal or Cycles. Any other render engine is fine as long as Blender was used as a part of your workflow.

Artist's Comments
About Me:
I work as a Graphic Designer for a marketing company just outside of London. I've been working with Blender for roughly 3 years. It is amazing software with a great community. I tip my hat to the CG Evolution guys, you know who you are. 
I use Blender every day to design products. Designed a lot of footballs for the sponsors of the world cup. But products are boring and don’t require any great skill to produce. So I Freelance in my own time, which is always exciting and challenging.

About "Vixen:"
I really enjoyed the challenges I found in this project. Originally Vixen was going to be a “sexy” character with a seductive come hither look. As I developed the clothing I realised the character was telling me what she was supposed to be. So the skin tight clothing became a damaged uniform. Combining procedural and manually painted textures. While I was working on these scratches it occurred to me that “texture tells a story”. So the scratches became another way of expressing the character's personality. Over time the theme became “Revenge”. Read the details and work out the back story. But take the time to find the High Resolution image and stare into those eyes.
