About Me:
My Name is Simon Liechti and I am a Swiss based CG-Artist. I work in a small post-production Studio in Zürich (cloudscape.ch) and use Blender to create my personal 3D-projects.
About "X-15 Experimental Aircraft:"
To improve my 3D/2D workflow I decided to create some Images about the X-15, a fascinating experimental aircraft. The Images are a combination of 3D rendering and matte-painting in Photoshop.
The X-15 was an experimental aircraft built in the late 50s and set both speed and altitude records in the 60s. It could reach speeds of Mach 6.72 and exceeded 100 km in altitude, which is considered a spaceflight.
Among the pilots was Neil Armstrong who later was the first person to walk on the moon.
