It could be challenging, if you are looking for a competent Blender artist, suited for a specific task. You don't have time to go through all the demoreels and videos. Render of the Week awards are meant to help you to identify such artists more easily--disclosed with full legal name and contact info. The winners are screened through many criteria including qualities that would make them a pleasant person to work with--such as dependability and humility.
How, then, can you too qualify for this award? Please have in mind that this award is reserved for those that are on par with or that excel top notch works published by artists and studios. If such work does not appear during a given week, this award is not being given to anyone. So please submit your best work to www.blenderartists.org or to the Member's Gallery of this site, or Contact Us to show where your work is available on the internet. It doesn't have to be a Blender render, internal or Cycles. Any other render engine is fine as long as Blender was used as a part of your workflow.
So, it is with great pleasure that www.BlenderNews.org introduces to you the winner of the Render of the Week Award for the week of April 3, 2017: Kirill Buzmakov.

About Me:
My name is Kirill Buzmakov., I'm a 3D artist based in Novosibirsk currently working for a company called Deus Craft.
About "Putrid Mourner:"
I conceived this creature as something that would stalk among corpses on the battlefield, eating them and ambushing the odd scavenger by disguising as a corpse. My goal was to make the thing look as realistic as I could. The project took about 2 months to complete.
