A notable phenomenon has been noticed by www.BlenderNews.org, while contacting potential nominees for the Render of the Week Award or artists for 'Product Visualization in Blender' series. Some of the creators of amazing or professional quality renders turned out to be young people still in high school! It turned out that this is not an isolated incident. Should they and their works be dismissed, since the Render of the Week Award or the 'Product Visualization in Blender' series or is for adults who can "afford" to work as freelancers and studios?
Recently some of them have been introduced in an article entitled "Blender Whiz." It has been decided that "Blender Whiz." will be featured as a series, whenever such talented young artists are discovered. Studios and directors, keep your eyes on these young talents as your potential future employees!
So, it is with great pleasure that www.BlenderNews.org introduces to you Chris Coppoletti for his work "Valour." Chris is currently finishing highschool.

About Me:
My name is Chris Coppoletti. I had always loved drawing things as a kid, particularly dinosaurs and sci-fi, but didn't understand lighting or shading in the slightest. Then came along Blender which did all the hard work for me! I started using it in 2006. I've also learned to paint concept art digitally over the past few years in order to improve my overall artistic know-how and the ability to come up with unique works like this one. I'm currently finishing high school, and plan to pursue a degree in game design and computer science at Miami University.
About "Valour:"
I entitled this "Projekt Valour" or just "Valour." I used this unique name as it will be the first to come up in searches, given its combination of the German word projekt, and the archaic spelling of valor. I came up with the title before I even began concepting because I wanted to portray a theme and story rather than just an image. This would keep my mind focused on the goal rather than the smaller details throughout. As for the making of it, this is one of the messiest, sloppiest setups I've ever done, since I was more concerned with the final image rather than the overall quality of the model. However, it turned out better than I could have ever imagined. I've produced an accompanying making of video as well at: http://youtu.be/YPKpoqT2EA8
