Literally, you would have to look through thousands of portfolios, if you are looking for exceptionally talented artists using Blender. One of the goal of the the Render of the Week Award is to help you save your time in doing so by verifying the competence, identity of the winners.
How, then, can you too qualify for this award? Please have in mind that this award is reserved for those that are on par with or that excel top-notch works published by artists and studios. If such work does not appear during a given week, this award is not being given to anyone. So please submit your best work to www.blenderartist.org or to the Member's Gallery of this site, or Contact Us to show where your work is available on the internet. It doesn't have to be a Blender render, internal or Cycles. Any other render engine is fine as long as Blender was used as a part of your workflow.
So, it is with great pleasure that www.BlenderNews.org introduces to you the winner of the Render of the Week Award for the week of May 24, 2021: Alexander Volodkin.

Artist's Comment
About Me:
My name is Alexander, nickname “mrthidn”, I was born and live in Russia, in the city of Novosibirsk, at the moment I am a concept artist and modeler, mostly sci-fi details and environments, but not only.
About "Ice Trilogy:"
I was inspired by Arctic expeditions and sailing, icy deserts are like a sea to me where no edges are visible, so I wanted to show it in a sci-fi context.
I rendered with Cycles since the whole terrain is done with displacement maps. I am very grateful to the community for sharing information that can help you learn quickly.
I apologize for such a screenshot, but I tried to look for other compositions in this scene, so I lost the exact details of these works.
