Arch Viz artists, apparently, are among the forefront in the industry that have embraced Blender as their major modelling tool, and understandably so. Simply put, it's good enough and stable. Top notch renders produced by artists like this week's winner would further convince them that they are on the right track.

How, then, can you too qualify for this award? Please have in mind that this award is reserved for those that are on par with or that excel top notch works published by artists and studios. If such work does not appear during a given week, this award is not being given to anyone. So please submit your best  work to www.blenderartist.org or to the Member's Gallery of this site, or Contact Us to show where your work is available on the internet. It doesn't have to be a Blender render, internal or Cycles. A Vray render or any other render is fine as long as Blender was used as a part of your workflow.

So, it is with great pleasure that www.BlenderNews.org introduces to you  the winner of the Render of the Week Award for the week of July 8, Enrico Cerica.

Artist's Comment
About Me:

About "Painter Loft:"
This is a project I started some times ago, one more long time "work in progress" that I decided to punctuate with an endpoint. After doing some cleaning in my now very old painting material, I remembered some very great inspirational moments before I switched to CG. I had the idea to place a painting desk in the middle of a loft.
Everything was modeled with Blender and rendered with Octane. I mainly used the DL mode 4 for the HDR image and DL mode 3 mode for the sun and as usual I mixed them to get a more natural result. Average rendering times were about 1 hr. for the DL mode 4 images and 20 min. for the DL mode 3. As often, modelling and mainly texturing including the UV mapping represent the major work.
