You often get surprised when you actually get in touch with the artists behind some of the apparently "seasoned" arts. As was the case for this week's winners.
How, then, can you too qualify for this award? Please have in mind that this award is reserved for those that are on par with or that excel top-notch works published by artists and studios. If such work does not appear during a given week, this award is not being given to anyone. So please submit your best work to www.blenderartist.org or to the Member's Gallery of this site, or Contact Us to show where your work is available on the internet. It doesn't have to be a Blender render, internal or Cycles. Any other render engine is fine as long as Blender was used as a part of your workflow.

About Us:
Hi, our names are Svenja Strobel (18 y) and Colin Behrens (19 y). We both live in Germany and have been learning Blender for about five years by watching YouTube tutorials and
by experimenting on our own. Most of our projects are collaborations together as we find it to be a lot more fun to work in a team then to work alone.

About "The Hungry Blood-thief:"
We made this project, because we love to make renders of cute animals and because we were inspired by all the bats that were flying around at night while we were walking around.
Svenja drew the quick concept art, which helped a lot for the final visualization. After that we started making the scene in Blender 2.8, which took us about 25 hours. The scene was then rendered in Cycles and minor improvements (mostly color correction) were made in Photoshop.
