How real can you get when depicting the real world around you with Blender in full CG? The work of this week's winner seems to demonstrate it.

How, then, can you too qualify for this award? Please have in mind that this award is reserved for those that are on par with or that excel top-notch works published by artists and studios. If such work does not appear during a given week, this award is not being given to anyone. So please submit your best work to www.blenderartist.org or to the Member's Gallery of this site, or Contact Us to show where your work is available on the internet. It doesn't have to be a Blender render, internal or Cycles. Any other render engine is fine as long as Blender was used as a part of your workflow.

So, it is with great pleasure that www.BlenderNews.org introduces to you the winner of the Render of the Week Award for the week of September 17, 2018: Michal Žilinský.

About "Aula: Area of Universal Latency:"
Area of Universal Latency (Aula) is a part of a large, interdependent system of specific places, rooted in the historical reality of northwestern Slovakia. The dominant feature of Aula is the House, some sort of author’s family memorial, once a romantic place, now abandoned ruin surrounded by a rotting apple orchard. The external human or natural uncoordinated interventions organically transform Aula and constantly “make it contemporary”. It lives in its special “post-human”, the latent apocalyptic biosphere. The reality of constantly ongoing processes of birth and decomposition in Aula, means utopia. This is not a utopia in the sense of an impossible future, but a utopia as the present we live in. Through its ambivalence, CGI film Aula tries to point out to the current uncertainty of society.
