'Mud Dauber' by Damien Monteillard - the Winner of the Week of March 7, 2016

Nature and insects have been frequent subject of excellent renders made in Blender. Check out a time-lapse video of how one of such renders were made in 20 hours.

How, then, can you too qualify for this award? Please have in mind that this award is reserved for those that are on par with or that excel top notch works published by artists and studios. If such work does not appear during a given week, this award is not being given to anyone. So please submit your best  work to www.blenderartist.org or to the Member's Gallery of this site, or Contact Us to show where your work is available on the internet. It doesn't have to be a Blender render, internal or Cycles. Any other render engine is fine as long as Blender was used as a part of your workflow.

About Me: 
I'm an independent CG generalist, working in Saint Etienne, FRANCE. My field of expertise include modeling, texturing, rigging, lighting, compositing and a little bit of Animation in various categories including character modeling, and product design, arch viz and Others.

About "Mud Dauber:"
Mud Dauber was made with blender 2.76b and darktable 1.4.2. It took 20 hours with image render time of 14 min. and 12 seconds.
