Blender's flexibility and rich features no doubt gives advantage over many--if not all--dedicated propriety software packages for arch viz and product visualization currently in the market. Although designed for ease of use, the outputs from such tools can inherently quite limited. Check out what the winner for this week discovered in regard to Blender's extra abilities as an arch viz tool.

How, then, can you too qualify for this award? Please have in mind that this award is reserved for those that are on par with or that excel top notch works published by artists and studios. If such work does not appear during a given week, this award is not being given to anyone. So please submit your best  work to www.blenderartist.org or to the Member's Gallery of this site, or Contact Us to show where your work is available on the internet. It doesn't have to be a Blender render, internal or Cycles. Any other render engine is fine as long as Blender was used as a part of your workflow.

So, it is with great pleasure that www.BlenderNews.org introduces to you  the winner of the Render of the Week Award for the week of August 11, 2014: Mateusz Kociolek.

Title: "the Waterfall House"
 Genre: Concept Art

Artist's Comments
About Me:
My name is Mateusz Kociolek, I'm 23 years old, I'm Polish. I work as an interior designer and 3D graphic artist. I'm studying architecture and urbanism at the Technical University of Wroclaw. Initially, I used to visualize my works using the Revit architecture programs, but they do not give such opportunities as Blender which in addition is free. I've been using Blender for a year and a half. Mainly I make model of interiors, which can be seen on my website.

About "the Waterfall House:"
The project that I made is called the Waterfall House. This is a competition entry, the assembly of modern buildings which are architectural studios. Units of Buildings are designed to fit into the rock cliff. I made the waterfall, water steam, grass, and etc in different render slots in Blender and pieced them together in Photoshop
