About Me:
My name is Matthaeus Wende. I'm a graffiti artist, live in Germany near Frankfurt and work as a graphic designer in a small design agency for about 5 years now.
Last year I wanted to create some 3D-infographics for a project so I tried out blender. Anyway it was also my first attempt in the 3D section. After that I tried out many other things with Blender and discovered what fun it is. Today I love it and spend some hours almost everyday working with this software, mostly creating architectural visualization.
About "Schloss Charlottenburg:"
This project was made for Andrew Price's Architecture Academy Competition which started in September. I wanted to model something challenging so I decided to create an old, historic building instead of a modern cube house or something like this. So I created the Schloss Charlottenburg in Berlin. For the most materials, I simply used a base tiled texture with normal and spec map and mixed in about 3 or 4 grunge alpha textures.
