Artist's Comment
About Me:
I'm a freelance 3D artist. I live in Quito, Ecuador. I work also as a 3D instructor at the Metropolitan Institute of Design. I've been working with Blender for the past seven years and I just love it. I think Blender is an artist-based tool that allows freelance artists and small animation studios to have a very controlled workflow. The improvements it has had in the past years are great and the development of Cycles is getting everyone's attention in the 3D community. I think Blender is on the top list of 3D software at the moment, and for that and many other reason is my weapon of choice.

About "Andino 2037:"
The Andino was the first car ever made in Ecuador back in the 70's. There are almost none of them left anywhere so I thought about making a 3D version of it. Since I'm a big Mad Max fan I thought, 'Hey, let's make a post apocalyptic version of it.' So that's why the render is named Andino 2037.
Andino 2037 is a personal project I started some months ago. I worked on it on my free time. The complexity of the scene was that since the beginning I wanted to show some mountains in the background because the car is named after the Andes Mountains, which are the longest highlands in South America. The final render came together with the mix of a real 3D floor with a photograph in the back which was blended together in the compositing process.
