Very few 3D artists have successfully "cross the uncanny valley" in their attempts to model convincing 3D humans. What's their secret? You might find the answer in this week's winner's comment.
How, then, can you too qualify for this award? Please have in mind that this award is reserved for those that are on par with or that excel top-notch works published by artists and studios. If such work does not appear during a given week, this award is not being given to anyone. So please submit your best work to www.blenderartist.org or to the Member's Gallery of this site, or Contact Us to show where your work is available on the internet. It doesn't have to be a Blender render, internal or Cycles. Any other render engine is fine as long as Blender was used as a part of your workflow.
So, it is with great pleasure that www.BlenderNews.org introduces to you the winner of the Render of the Week Award for the week of Ausgust 19, 2019: Guang Liang Chen.

About Me:
My name is Guang Liang Chen, and I'm from China. I have been a freelancer for about 7 years, I use Blender as my creation tool, and I also have developed several addons for
Blender to speed up my workflow. All my skills are self-taught.
Blender to speed up my workflow. All my skills are self-taught.
Before using 3D software, I loved doing 2D painting, but now I think 3D graphics can express my ideas better. Although I still need to improve my 3D skills.
About "Angelababy:"
Angelababy is a celebrity from China. I chose her as my model, because she is a beauty with multi-racial features, perhaps more in tune with eastern and western aesthetics.
I used Cycles to render this model. 400 samples, render time 20 minutes with my machine Ryzen1700x with16G RAMs.
It contains several maps: color\bump\sss value\sss radius\spacular value\spacular radius.
