If such work does not appear during a given week, this award is not being given to anyone. So please submit your best work to www.blenderartist.org or to the Member's Gallery of this site, or Contact Us to show where your work is available on the internet. It doesn't have to be a Blender render, internal or Cycles. Any other render engine is fine as long as Blender was used as a part of your workflow.

I’ve been around computer graphics for the past 21 years as a VFX thecnical director and supervisor. I started in Blender 2 years ago and I have to say, I fell in love. Simple and
powerfull!

About "Cherries:"
I did this piece to study a closeup render of a nature scene, specially the translucency aspect of the leaves. Everything was positioned by hand, every cherry and every leaf. To have
a realistic look in the branches I had to sculpt some fine details. The light setup is a mix of two HDRI images. And yes, I noticed that cherries twigs don’t have small hairs, but it gives the render a plus.
