About Me:
My name is Damien, I started learning 3D and animation about 4 years ago, as a hobby. I was fortunate enough to get a job in the industry. The only software the company had was 3DSMax, I had never used Max and struggled a bit. I came across a demo reel made in Blender, I was shocked at how good it looked. After finding out it was free, I received the go-ahead to give it a shot, and after a few Blender Guru tutorials I was hooked, and have been using it daily.
 
About "Golden Hour:"

The project wouldn’t have happened without seeing Arthur Whitehead’s project. He created a watch animation using Cinema 4D and Octane, which I thought was absolutely beautiful. At that moment I was set on recreating it, but I would only use Blender and no plug-ins or 3rd party render engines. I would say it took roughly 9 hours to complete the image and another 2 for the animation. I used only 2 textures from poliigon.com, which were different wiping residues. All other materials were made using the Principled Shader, and different noise nodes.
