About Me:

About "Adidas High Top Boost Sneaker:"
For this personal project I was trying to imagine a product that could fit perfectly on an existing brand. To do that, I analyze what is done by the brand and try to add a new product that may be missing.
ONrunning is one of the most interesting brands in the market, I love what they do. They invest a lot in their technology and they make amazing running products.
But what about Tennis shoes? Since Roger Federer invested in the brand and joined the team also as a designer that gave me the idea to think about a shoe for them. They launched The Roger Center Court shoe, which is a very classic shoe with their technology hidden in the bottom of the shoe. I loved that proposal but my shoe would be more like a Pro shoe, showing off their Cloud Technology out of the shoe.
So I was playing around with the whole idea 4 months. One thing is model something for somebody with a blocked 2D design and other thing is try to do all the process on your own, designing, redesigning 2D’s and 3D’s and in my spare time dedicating just a couple of hours per week. 
The outsole was a completely headache, always trying to keep their invention in my mind and adding a personal idea for extra cushioning. 
For the upper I have done a lot of research trying to keep their design language used on running shoes but without their look. I mean, they use very sharp lines with lots of contrast, tension, small radius connecting lines, etc... This kind of design language may work on their running collection but I wasn’t sure for a tennis product. So I added a personal one.
For modeling I used Blender 2.91. I have started sculpting the outsole. (see picture) Then also sculpted the top of the whole shoe and then re-topologized. Textured in Substance Painter. Rendered in Blender Cycles. I would just like to mention that this project wasn’t done with commercial proposes. Just for fun and toenhance my skills and why not hearing job offers as a footwear designer or 3D shoe designer.
