Artist's Comment
About Me:
My name is Karl Andreas Groß, I am a graduated mechanical engineer and I live in Germany. For more than ten years, I worked in 3D CAD modeling and construction. On this experience, my passion for CG art came to life. In CG art, my preference is to do photo-realistic modeling and rendering. For my work, I use Blender with Cylces and Gimp.
About "Violoncello with Bow and Stand Using Procedural Wood Textures:"
I made this model for two purposes. First, the Cello is part of a 3D Scene for a website project for a professional musician. He is re-doing his Web presentation and I
was asked to do the Background Images, showing some instruments for which he is available to compose with. Second, the model was a task to create a realistic looking procedural wood shader which can be easily customized for all kinds of wooden surfaces.
