About Me:
My name is Petr Utinek and I'm from Czech Republic. I jumped into the 3D world three years ago and I dedicated all my free time to learn all I could. Blender is an awesome tool for art and visualizations of any kind. I like all my projects I've done so far because I could see my progress and I learned a lot. I'm working mainly in Blender for hard surface and doing sculpts and concepts in Zbrush textures in gimp or Xnormals. I experimenting with other programs as well to push my knowledge further everyday.
About "Panasonic Camcorder"
I chose to model Panasonic camcorder because I own one and I could use it for reference. To make it interesting, I did not use any image for modeling. I just observed the model and tried to estimate all proportions and materials. For texturing I used Cycles materials similar to car paint and plastic. It took me two days to create the model, materials, textures and set all for render. I used basic black and white text textures and generated normal maps in gimp to get extra details.
