10. BLENDER.ORG UNDER DDOS ATTACK AGAIN


Following in 2020, Blender.org suffered hacking attempt in 2021 once again. Regardless of who’s behind the attack,
2021 saws the most number of major players in the industry officially joining Blender Development Fund.

Blendernetwork terminated operation on March. Blender Cloud services got rebranded as Blender Studio.

“Sprite Fright” - Blender Studio’s 13th open movie - was released. Regardless of their success as movies, the open movie projects
are significant because each of them are designed to identify and add more functionalities to Blender as animation and VFX tool.

2021 saw the release of Blender 2.91.2, 2.92, 2,93 and eventually the long-awaited Blender 3.0. From Asset Browsers, Cycles X to
Geometry Node, Blender has been getting equipped with gaming-changing capabilities.
