About Me:
I am a full-time Graphic Designer and Freelance 3D artist. I’ve been using Blender for about a year and a half. I started out way back with Metacreations Ray Dream and Bryce, then later moved onto trueSpace. I spent the years as a hobbyist with varying degrees of success, but never really put in the time to go as deep as I wanted to. Then about 2 years ago, I decided that I wanted to start freelancing with 3D in the fields of product and architectural visualization. Soon after, I decided to give Blender another try. I had tried it a few years earlier, but found the interface too difficult to work with (Pre 2.5). But this time, driven by the desire to finally fully commit to being a 3D artist and apply all the years of reading and knowledge, I pushed myself through the learning curve and now am realizing my vision.
About "Veggie Peeler:"
This is client work for a vendor who sells their products online on sites like Amazon. I’ve done a few jobs for this client and it’s always cool to be able to look up your own renders on big retail sites.
These are beauty renders I made using the model to feature on my website. I thought that the bamboo made a cool advertisement so made up a fake company name and magazine back cover and banner ad to feature the product.
This model is actually the first version of the peeler I did for this client. The client changed the manufactured design so they hired me again to make the new version with slightly different cutting blades and the fixture that holds them.
