Check out what a seasoned artists can achieve after learning Blender for just 3 months!
How, then, can you too qualify for this award? Please have in mind that this award is reserved for those that are on par with or that excel top-notch works published by artists and studios. If such work does not appear during a given week, this award is not being given to anyone. So please submit your best work to www.blenderartist.org or to the Member's Gallery of this site, or Contact Us to show where your work is available on the internet. It doesn't have to be a Blender render, internal or Cycles. Any other render engine is fine as long as Blender was used as a part of your workflow.
So, it is with great pleasure that www.BlenderNews.org introduces to you the winner of the Render of the Week Award for the week of November 11, 2019: Kim Chul Min.

About Me:
My name is Kim Chul Min. English name is clover. I live in Seoul, South Korea and have worked in film / CF for 17 years. I was a generalist using Softimage, Maya a long time ago,
but I have been a supervisor since 2010. But now I'm a content creator, making my own short CG animations using Blender, after leaving my previous company. ( https://vo.la/bX5d )

About "Sungoori Gaga:"
The Sungoori is the name of the elf character I first created as a Blender user. This work is like a teaser video of a short animated series that will feature Sungoori in the future.
It introduces the human world in which Sungoori lives, the wild charm of Sungoori, and his rich emotion and strong will when encountering obstacles. This is the 'Sungoori Gaga',
which is designed to help everyone cheer for the uphill adventures.

The background was shot with a Canon g7x, and the character and particle sources were made with Blender 2.8 (Cycles).
Since I have been studying Blender for only three months, I had to do a camera match manually, but I am currently studying matchmove using Blender,
so I am expecting the Sungoori character to play on a moving footage not too far away.
