As Blender evolves, it's attracting increasing number of talented artists who come with advanced 3D techniques that had previously been applied to other 3D packages. And it's amazing to see how they are applying their knowledge to latest versions of Blender. This week's winner is one of them, who has graciously made his technique available for all to see. Apparently, he is at the frontier among Blender artists as far as film-grade massive 3D waves are concerned.
How, then, can you too qualify for this award? Please have in mind that this award is reserved for those that are on par with or that excel top notch works published by artists and studios. If such work does not appear during a given week, this award is not being given to anyone. So please submit your best work to www.blenderartist.org or to the Member's Gallery of this site, or Contact Us to show where your work is available on the internet. It doesn't have to be a Blender render, internal or Cycles. A Vray render or any other render is fine as long as Blender was used as a part of your workflow.
So, it is with great pleasure that www.BlenderNews.org introduces to you the winner of the Render of the Week Award for the week of November 26, 2012: Alexandre Faiad.

About Me:
my name is Alexandre Faiad. I am from Brasília, Brazil. I have been working with 3D for some 7 years. My first "contact" with Blender was in 2008, but only after bdancer created the vray exporter that I could really begin to work with it. And then, Cycles came out, and now I can do most of my work inside Blender. I have always been a generalist, but I hope to be able to do reallistic VFX in the future. The wave was one study in that direction.
About "Tsunami:"
It is a part of more scenes that I am finishing, showing a meteor falling down and creating the wave. It should be ready in one or two weeks, I hope.
