Good Arch Viz studios or artists are not common in the market as evident in their published works. Where can you find competent Arch Viz artists? How good is Blender as an arch viz tool? You might find the answers in the arts and comments made by the following artist(s), some of the many that are scheduled to be featured in this series.
Tones of Grey
by Marek Moravec
My name is Marek Moravec. I first opened Blender almost seven years ago when I was at the high school and it was one main reasons why I decided to study architecture. During four years of architecture studies I lost all my illusions about architecture business and after finishing the bachelor degree I decided to start working as a freelancer. I do mainly architecture visualization now because I like architecture and I can use the knowledge gained at the university. Doing it in Blender is both challenging and fun!
About "Tones of grey:"
This interior is based on the design by Josefina Hynková (www.bytovyarchitekt.cz). I had quite a lot of time for this project so I tried many new techniques. The final scene has almost 90% objects linked from their own blend files and I used the super useful "Edit Linked" addon to manage and modify all the linked models. I also used quite complicated light setup to compensate the big light difference between the dark interior and bright exterior.
