It's no longer a secret that Blender excels in particle-based environment scenes. Check out what the winner for this week has created!
How, then, can you too qualify for this award? Please have in mind that this award is reserved for those that are on par with or that excel top notch works published by artists and studios. If such work does not appear during a given week, this award is not being given to anyone. So please submit your best work to www.blenderartist.org or to the Member's Gallery of this site, or Contact Us to show where your work is available on the internet. It doesn't have to be a Blender render, internal or Cycles. Any other render engine is fine as long as Blender was used as a part of your workflow.
So, it is with great pleasure that www.BlenderNews.org introduces to you the winner of the Render of the Week Award for the week of May 18, 2015: Derek Goff.
Title: "Colorful Calm"
Genre: Environment Design
My name is Derek Goff. I live in the USA and have been Blending for a little over 5 years. I specialize in nature and environmental art. I also have a shop on the Blender Market where I sell tree models and other miscellaneous ground debris and vegetation. These renders began as a test of my available tree models and ground vegetation including the rocks. My goal is to create quality products so I'm continually trying to update and improve along the way. I thank the Blender community for all the support they have given me.
About "Colorful Calm:"
The first image is titled "Colorful Calm" the second is from the same scene and is untitled. Both renders celebrate the amazing coloring of fall. The fall represents the end of the old going out with a flash of color and the start of something new. I hope you enjoy.
