Artist's Comment
About Me:
I am a young artist who lives in Denmark. I've been using Blender for the last 1½ year.
About "Gibson Les Paul Sunburst:"
The project started out as a quick model, but I quickly realized that the project could become some very nice renders. A friend of mine, who has a band, asked me to make his favorite guitar in Blender, which he wanted to print in 3D and just to show him the guitar I made some simple and quick materials for it and then suddenly I had made a quite good looking guitar. When I started the project I had just learned how to use the dirty vertex colors in the Vertex Paint mode and then I thought: 'Why not make the sunburst texture in Blender?' It took some time to make the sunburst look right, but it gave me much easier control over how the sunburst looked compared to if I had done the texture completely in Photoshop or another Image editing software.
